Have a Japan region Nintendo 3DS? Leave it on tomorrow and you’ll automatically download 3D TV shows from Nippon Television and Fuji TV via Spotpass. Both broadcasters are making 3D TV shows for Nintendo’s handheld. Here’s a look at what’s on the schedule:
A TV show with animals in 3D. Nippon TV also has daily horoscopes to tell you how lucky (or unlucky) you are.
Train View 3D
See what a train is like from the conductor’s seat. Designed for train enthusiasts, this program will visit stations and routes from various Japanese railways.
Magic Classroom 3D
A daily program where The Napoleons and other popular illusionists teach viewers magic tricks.
Idoling!!! Professional Sumo 3DS Spot
Watch rising girls group Idoling sumo wrestle. Developed by Fuji TV, this show updates daily.
A daily news show where the "director of knowledge" gives the lowdown on what’s buzzworthy.
Filmed at the Hakone Open Air Museum, this program gives you a tour of the site’s famous sculptures. This show will be broadcast Monday through Friday.
Enjoy Sport!
Shown on weekends, this program highlights Japanese volleyball, the gymnastics Japan Cup, basketball league, and F1 racing.
Like regular TV shows, these programs are paid for by advertisements. Similar content was offered for Wii in Japan via the Wii’s Room channel. While Japan has idol wrestling, North American 3DS owners will be able to watch Netflix on the go this summer.
