Gamestop And Nintendo Giving Away Shiny Legendary Pokémon

Nintendo and Gamestop are teaming up for a special Pokémon Black/White promo that you’re probably going to love if you’re a hardcore Pokémon player — Shiny legendaries.

And by Shiny, we mean one of those evasive “1 in 8,192” monsters that are a different colour from their regular breeds. Starting this month, Gamestop are going to be giving away a Shiny Raikou, Entei and Suicune.

If you’re in the U.S. or Canada, here are the dates for the giveaways:

Shiny Raikou – January 3rd through January 9th

Shiny Entei – January 17th through January 23rd

Shiny Suicune – January 31st through February 6th, 2011

You’ll need your DS and a copy of Pokémon Diamond or Pearl or Platinum or HeartGold or SoulSilver if you want to grab one (or all) of the above. You also can’t have more than two Wonder Cards in your possession.

Wait, there’s more! If you transfer any of the three Shiny legendary dogs to Pokémon Black/White once they release, you’ll get to catch Zoroark, who can’t be caught in the games through normal means.
