Ultimate Weapon Desco Was Canned As Disgaea 4’s Last Boss

Born as an ultimate weapon who could destroy the world, Desco was a perfect last boss, but she was scrapped and placed in a Netherworld prison.

Valbatoze, the lead character in Disgaea 4, meets Desco in an eerie, hair-raising atmosphere expecting a tough fights. After the fog clears he sees… a pretty girl? Desco for some reason adores Fuka.

Nippon Ichi also released more details about Disgaea 4’s online system. Players can build a pirate ship and travel to another player’s game. Aside from looking cool, parts have parameters like how many characters you can carry and what floor you can appear on.

After you pick a group of units to explore another world you have to decide whether you want to attack others or act as a helper. If you choose the helper route, a player from a different game can use an item to call a random party to assist them during battle.

Online rankings let you know how your group of pirates stacks up against the world. The game keeps track of the number of KOs and sets up bounties for strong invaders.

Those aren’t the only stats Disgaea 4 keeps track of. The game records your playtime (up to thousands of hours), total level, maximum damage, the number of enemies defeated, and so forth at the data record shop.
