Doujin developer Studio Siesta created a spite-based horizontal shooter called Trouble Witches for PCs. Hardcoregaming101 has a great article on it and it’s worth a read if bullet slowing magic circles sound at all interesting. Trouble Witches has elements from Fantasy Zone (weapon buying) and four anime style witches to use.
Here’s where Trouble Witches takes an unusual turn. Trouble Witches Neo popped up in Australia’s Classifications Board with The King of Fighters developer SNK as the publisher. Adventure Planning Service, the company that made Trouble Witches: Daughters of Amalgam for arcades, is listed as the developer of Trouble Witches Neo. According to the rating board this is not a PC game, it’s a multiplatform title which the Classifications Board tends to use for console games.
A console port of Adventure Planning Service’s Trouble Witches arcade game is our best guess, but which console will SNK release it on? And how did they get the license to Trouble Witches?
