Line Attack Heroes was originally announced as a boxed Wii game. After being absent from E3, Line Attack Heroes re-emerged as a WiiWare game scheduled for July 27 in Japan.
Grezzo, a studio founded by Secret of Mana director Koichi Ishii, created 40 story levels to slice (sword), poke (spear), and pound (hammer) through. Each attack uses the actual line of characters behind the leader as a weapon. New screenshots show a bunch of new leaders like a dinosaur-like fellow and a robot. Players can decorate heroes with accessories like bear masks and turtle shells earned in single player mode.
Line Attack Heroes has two kinds of multiplayer modes: cooperative play in story mode and taisen mode. Battle mode supports four players in battle royal, flag battle, and a two-on-two tag match.
While Line Attack Heroes was only shown with Wiimote support at E3, the WiiWare game supports the Classic Controller and Gamecube pad too.
