Kojima’s Next Game Challenges A Video Game Taboo

Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima still has Peace Walker and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow to work on, but his mind is already in “next title mode.”

Apparently, this project is going to be a controversial one. “The next project with challenge some sort of taboo,” Kojima tweeted. “If I make a mistake I might have to leave this industry. But, I don’t want to pass through avoiding that.” Kojima mentions one colleague is supportive of his risky endeavor. While it’s only one person, Kojima believes it’s a positive start.

Japanese messageboard users are having fun with the vague statement. On 2ch, and captured by Hachimaki, someone made a mockup of Tokimeki Metal Gear: Girl’s Side 1st Mission, which is a mashup of Konami’s successful dating sim and Metal Gear.
