Acquire tricked us! The “D” in Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida 3D (Badman 3D) stands for “dungeon” not “dimension”.

Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida 3D looks and plays like the other Badman games. Your job is to protect the Demon lord from stereotypical RPG heroes by building a dungeon and managing a monster ecosystem. Badman 3D tweaks the formula by adding new monsters (the trailer shows a silhouette of a whale-like creature) and water. It looks like you can control the water, or at least contain it, by catching it in a little pool.

The “3D” part of the title also has another meaning, there are three kinds of dungeons in Badman 3D. The main dungeon is a story mode with three areas and 33 stages. Everyday dungeon gives players a ten level dungeon to beat. Acquire is keeping the third mode under wraps.

Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida 3D comes out on the PSP in 201X, which probably means sometime next year for Japan. NIS America has not announced plans for Badman 2 yet and I doubt they’ll skip that and go straight to Badman 3D. Maybe, the 201X time line is really for North America.
