Tecmo has a trio of digital games in development for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. One of them is Fret Nice which was a finalist in the 2008 Independent Game Festival.

Fret Nice is part music game, part platformer. Players strum notes with a guitar controller to attack enemies. That was how Fret Nice was designed, but Tecmo’s press release does not mention if the downloadable game will support any music peripherals. I suppose Tecmo has time for another announcement. Fret Nice won’t come out until 2010.

Puzzlegeddon, a competitive match 5 puzzle game originally released for PCs, and NBA Unrivaled, a retro style basketball game with the 2009 NBA lineup are scheduled for release later this year.

While all three games are supposedly multiplatform releases Tecmo adds none of these games have been “concept approved by Sony Computer Entertainment”.
