In less than a month Capcom’s next mega release will be in stores worldwide. A hotly anticipated game like Resident Evil 5 is bound to have a limited edition version, but this game is a special case. Capcom has no less than five Resident Evil 5 limited edition bundles. Each version comes with different stuff and is sold for a different price.
Let’s take a look at the packages starting with what we’re getting here.
North America and Australia – Chris Redfield figure, BSAA Patch, Kijuju necklace, Tricell messenger bag, bonus disc with making of movie/digital art gallery, and Resident Evil 5 in a steelbook case for $89.99. If you pre-order at GameCrazy you get a bonus sand globe. Australia gets the same bundle for $169.95 AUD ($110).
Europe – Bonus disc with making-of movie and Resident Evil 5 in a steelbook case for £49.99 ($71.50)
Japan – BSAA waist pouch, art book, Anti-Virus vaccine 2GB flash drive, and of course Resident Evil 5. The PlayStation 3 version comes on a hybrid game/movie Blu-ray disc with the making-of feature. The Xbox 360 release is bundled with the soundtrack. Both cost 12,800 yen ($136).
Korea – Resident Evil Degeneration movie, soundtrack CD, art book, and Resident Evil 5 in regular packaging. Price has not been announced.
Hong Kong – Making of game DVDs, bloody chainsaw 2GB USB flash drive, and Resident Evil 5 with a reversible cover (Biohazard or Resident Evil 5) for $498 HKD ($64).
The chainsaw USB drive is about the size of a credit card. You pull off the blade and plug it into your PC to use it.
Which one do you covet? Who has it the worst? Sorry, Europe.
