Beyond Echoes Of Time Square Enix May Have More Crystal Chronicles For Us

We j-u-s-t learned about Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time which has the nifty feature of linking Wii and DS owners on the same server. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time sprung out of nowhere and Japan gets it next January.

Square Enix might just have another surprise for fans of the action oriented Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series. Last week they registered Crystal Defenders in the US Patent Trademark database. This is unrelated to Echoes of Time since they registered that in North America back in July. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Defenders has a nice ring to it, but this trademark could also be used for Crystal Guardians W1, a Final Fantasy Tactics Advance themed tower defense game for mobile phones. Maybe Square Enix plans to use the Crystal Guardians trademark for a WiiWare or Nintendo DS version of Crystal Guardians. No one knows except Square Enix for now.
