AQ Interactive’s financial report confirms they have eight games scheduled to come out in North America with in this fiscal year. Twelve titles will be released in Japan. The list includes Korg DS-10, Away: Shuffle Dungeon, Blue Dragon Plus, an unnamed Nintendo Wii game and four third party portable games handled by Xseed.
Some of the third party games have to be Marvelous titles. The deal between Xseed and Marvelous is explained in the presentation to be for eight titles. Valhalla Knights 2 is the first game announced in this collaboration. I expect to see Lux Pain and Flower, Sun and Rain within this fiscal year too since both have rumored European releases. Dungeon Maker DS is another possibility since it looks like Rising Star is taking care of it and Xseed has an existing relationship with Global A.
The mystery Wii game is probably something brand new and not the World of Golden Eggs game. Japan will also get an unnamed Wii game (possibly the same as North America, possibly different), three additional unannounced DS games and two PlayStation 2 games within the fiscal year. Oh yeah, Vampire Rain will be re-released as a PlayStation 3 in Japan too.
Interestingly, Vampire Rain: Altered Species is not labeled on the slide despite a press release informing us about a US release sent over earlier this week. Perhaps, this is because it’s considered an overseas license like Docomodake, which is confirmed to appear in Western territories. Docomodake isn’t on the slide as an AQ Interactive published game either.
The only bummer is Anata wo Yurusanai (I Won't Forgive You), the vertical PSP adventure game, is not discussed as an overseas license. At this point chances seem slim that we’re going to see it in English.
