While North America has been talking about Gears of War, Japan’s Xbox 360 buzz is Blue Dragon. Microsoft released the Blue Dragon premium pack, a system bundle with a core 360 system, the game, a blue dragon faceplate and a bunch of figures from the game. Not one to miss an opportunity Microsoft’s Japan division will continue to sell Blue Dragon bundles after the first run sell out. The second run of the Blue Dragon premium pack just has an Xbox 360 core system (i.e. the one without the hard drive), a copy of the game and a wired controller for the price of 29,800 yen ($252). That is the same price as the original premium pack minus all of the goodies. For gamers in Japan who just pick up a copy of the game they get a mouse pad and a sticker sheet. I guess the stickers are there so you can make your own Blue Dragon themed 360 while you envy others that waited to buy Microsoft’s premium package.
