In Suikoden, Odessa is one of the default characters you can get in the game. She is an aristocrat who, upon seeing the corruption in her homeland, discards her status as a noble to form the Toran Liberation Army. In terms of her personality, she is a strong and determined woman who never gives up. Many of the fans have praised the official Twitter account’s decision to start this Suikoden character countdown from Odessa due to her role in the story and the fact that she’s not even one of the 108 Stars of Destiny.

Suikoden is a series that focuses on revolutions against the current sovereign state, with the protagonist having to recruit the 108 Stars of Destiny in order to do so. All of the games take place in the same setting, and so are chronologically connected. However, you don’t necessarily need to play them all or in order to understand them. The series as a whole is loosely inspired by the Water Margin novel, which it shares the general premise with.

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Run & Dunan Unification Wars will come out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC on March 6, 2025.
