The announcement trailer for The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- came out during the June 18, 2024 Nintendo Direct. It showed the main characters, as well as the conceit of the game. It will be a tactical RPG similar to Fire Emblem with visual novel elements. The player will take on the role of Takumi Sumino, a student who was just enjoying his day when strange monsters attack Japan. A ghostly school mascot whisks him away to Last Defense Academy, where he and fifteen other students must work together to defend the school for a hundred days against the mysterious invaders.

You can watch the teaser trailer here:

This is a collaborative effort between Kazutaka Kodaka of Danganronpa and Kotaro Uchikoshi of Zero Escape. They teased this project earlier this year, with Kodaka stating that he’s “obsessed” with it. Kodaka and Uchikoshi are in charge of the direction and scenario. Rui Komatsuzaki, who designed for Danganronpa, will return as the character designer. The creature designer is shimadoiru, who’d designed Lancelot (Saber) and Qin Liangyu for Fate/Grand Order. Finally, Masfumi Takada is the audio director. Takada worked on Danganronpa and No More Heroes in the past.

The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- will come out in early 2025 on the Nintendo Switch and Windows PC via Steam. The English version of The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- will come out on the same release date. More information on the Japanese and English cast to appear later.
