In its first two days on shelves, the 3DS XL sold 193,441 units, according to Famitsu publisher Enterbrain. The system launched alongside New Super Mario Bros. 2.
"I think it’s an important element, it makes graphics more impactful, it proves a sense of immersion that 2D doesn’t have," says Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata.
