Coming out this fall is a new concept game from Namco Bandai Games, Dragon Tamer Sound Spirit. On the surface it looks like a collect-a-thon RPG like Pokemon with dragons, but there is a creative way players obtain dragons. By using the Nintendo DS’ microphone Dragon Tamer Sound Spirit identifies sounds from a piano, TV and your voice to create dragons from sounds. There are over 100 types of dragons split into six attributes: fire, water, earth, wind, light and dark. While the monster input method is original, Dragon Tamer Sound Spirit is still going to need a rock solid battle system to keep it afloat. Recently Namco Bandai is getting creative with ways to evolve the monster collecting games on the Nintendo DS. Besides Dragon Tamer Spirit there is Treasure Gaust, which uses magnetic fields to create new monsters.
