Taito’s Densha de Go (Let’s Go by Train) is a train simulator that was introduced in Japan over ten years ago. The games have mainly come out for Sony consoles except for a Dreamcast and Nintendo 64 release. Now the series is returning to Nintendo with Densha de Go! Shinkansen EX: Sanyou Shinkansen Hen. Like all of the other Densha de Go games there is a special controller that mimics the set up a train controller would use. You can pick up Densha de Go with the special Wii controller in a package for 10,479 yen ($86). Or you can buy the controller alone for 6,090 yen ($50). It’s a pricey accessory, but you don’t have to have it to play Densha de Go on the Wii. There is a new control set up where players shake the Wii remote to make the train accelerate. Since the control scheme has been simplified, Densha de Go! Shinkansen EX: Sanyou Shinkansen Hen could be a good game for first time conductors.
