This article is over 18 years old and may contain outdated information

Now that Phoenix Wright (Gyakuten Saiban) has become an international hit, Capcom has begun work on an all new adventure game series about stocks. Kabu Trader Shun (Stock Trainer Shun) is the story of a young trader, Shun, who enters the world of trading. His father was a trader and earned his riches from the market. One day his father went bankrupt and disappeared. Five years later young Shun enters the market with veteran trader Tooru and Hanako who’s family owns a stock trading company.

Kabu Trader Shun has gameplay broken down in two sections, similar to Phoenix Wright. There is an adventure part where you explore the town and delve into the story. Since Kabu Trader Shun uses financial terms there is a glossary to define unfamiliar jargon. After the adventure mode Shun goes into an active trading session where he has to earn a set amount of money, compete with the computer or has his fate locked with a fellow trader. Kabu Trader Shun comes out in 2007 in Japan, but a North American release seems likely due to the popularity of the Phoenix Wright series.
