An end of an era has arrived for many consoles and a handheld. Minecraft PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii U, and Xbox 360 updates are coming to an end. 4J Studios, the developer behind the Console Editions’ versions, revealed he news on Twitter, noting the last Xbox 360 update will arrive on December 18, 2018 and last Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita update will arrive on either December 18 or 19, 2018.
4J Studios also shared a tweet of the company packing up its dev kits.

The last Minecraft update goes by different names on different platforms. On the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3, it is 1.82. It is patch 42 on the Nintendo Switch. On the Xbox 360, it goes by Title Update 73. In each case, the patch notes are the same. Downloading the update does the following on all four systems.
- Added The Nightmare before Christmas Mash-Up Pack.
- Fix for Crash that would occur while near areas with Snow.
- Fix for Barrier block in the Tutorial level.
- Fix for Crash that would occur when TNT blew up a Fence post and Shulker Box.
Minecraft is available on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.
