Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth released in Japan recently, and following its latest weekly sales report Media Create shared additional tidbits on how the 3DS dungeon crawler performed in its Japanese debut.
In its opening week, Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth sold 79,747 units, about less than half of its predecessor, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, sold in its debut with 186,856 units back in June 2014. Persona Q sold through 80.64% of its initial shipment and Persona Q2 sold through 64.54%.
While Persona Q2 saw much less in sales and sell-through than its predecessor, according to Media Create’s trackers the dungeon crawler sequel now holds the title of best-selling debut of all 3DS games that released in Japan in 2018, topping the 71,946 units that Etrian Odyssey Nexus sold in its Japanese debut back in August of this year.
Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth released in Japan on November 29, 2018 for Nintendo 3DS. The game has yet to be announced in the West.
