Back when Yo-Kai Watch 3 was announced for North America and Europe, Nintendo did not reveal which version would be released outside of Japan. Now, the game’s official Twitter account has provided an answer. The upcoming version will have all three Japanese games in once, to create a “’Sukiyaki+’ or Gold Edition.”
In Japan, initially only Yo-Kai Watch 3: Sushi and Tempura versions were released in July 2016. These each had certain Yo-Kai, and you would need to trade them all. They were followed by a Sukiyaki version, which let you choose between Sushi and Tempura in-game, collect Emma god Yo-kai characters, and play an updated version of Yo-kai Blasters T. The official Twitter account says the Yo-Kai Watch 3 released outside of Japan will let you get “every Yo-Kai in one savefile.”
Yo-kai Watch 3 will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in Europe on December 7, 2018, followed by a North American release on February 8, 2019. It is immediately available in Japan.
