Following a teaser for a possible revival of Level-5’s cancelled PSP horror RPG, Ushiro, the company president Akihiro Hino revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine that it is headed to Switch. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

Here are some highlights from Famitsu’s interview with president Hino:

  • “Hirokazu Hamamura (former Famitsu chief editor) actually suggested that it was about time to remove it (Ushiro) from the release schedule, but I felt that it was fine to leave it there.”

  • “Rather, he was like at least change it to Switch. Or something like that.”

  • “There seems to be some things that Ushiro has that you can’t do with Yo-kai Watch. We haven’t made it yet, so we’ll find out from here.”

  • “We have some new creators here that want to work on Ushiro.”

  • “(On keeping Ushiro on the release schedule for now with a change to Switch) So it’s scheduled [laughs]. When it comes to making games, the thoughts of what was left undone can continue haunting you, so that in a way makes this very ghost-like project.”
