Just ahead of its Japanese release, The World Ends with You: Final Remix has received a batch of new screenshots and a trailer. These highlight a number of the gameplay elements and systems we will see in the game, with things like Neku’s Fusion Attacks with Shiki, Joshua, and Beat displayed, a screenshot from the Tin Pin Slammer minigame shown, and a brief web commercial offering a short summary. (Thanks, 4Gamer!)

The Fusion Attacks occur in The World Ends with You: Final Remix when you get an opportunity to fuse attacks in battle. A minigame with Shiki, Joshua, and Beat then comes up. Doing well in the minigame gets increases the power of the fused attack. In Shiki’s minigame, you tap cards that match. With Joshua’s, you tap cards with numbers on them from lowest to highest. Beat’s involves tapping cards of the same suits in lines to make pairs.
