Another indie game has been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch. Devolver Digital will be bringing Downwell to the console. In addition, TATE mode, which allows you to play the game vertically instead of horizontally, will be among the features for this version of the game. This might make it a good candidate for the Flip Grip peripheral for the system.

Downwell is a shooter from Ojiro “Moppin” Fumoto that tasks people with helping a character who is falling down a well. The character has different “styles” that can be used, each of which influences gameplay. There are also different guns that can be picked up while descending, each with different bullet spreads, and making it through a stage lets you select some sort of perk that can improve your stats or make survival easier.

Downwell first appeared on PCs and Apple iOS devices in 2015, before heading to Android devices, the PlayStation 4, and the PlayStation Vita in 2016. A release date has not yet been announced for the Nintendo Switch version.
