Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to Switch in 2018 and Bandai Namco announced its release date in Japan along with some features and bonuses that will come with the fighter on Switch. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
The first new feature they’re preparing is a new simplified control type called “Extreme Type.” This allows you to pull off specials with ease. For example you’ll get to pull off Meteor Smash attacks by pressing L + R + Heavy Attack, or other specials that can be pulled off with ease using a combination of L + R buttons.
Since it’ll be played on Switch with the option of simplified controls with Extreme Type, the game will allow you to play on a single Switch using both of its Joy-Con controllers for some local 1v1 action.
As a bonus in Japan, the game will include a download code for Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden which originally released in Japan on March 1993 for the Super Famicom. Super Saiyan Blue Goku & Vegeta will also be available to play early.
It’ll come with an SR card for Super Dragon Ball Heroes, the Dragon Ball Z: Data Carddass game, but no further information on that.
Dragon Ball FighterZ will release for Nintendo Switch in Japan on September 27, 2018 for 6,800 yen. That’s cheaper than it was for its previous releases in Japan, so we can expect to see it release at a bit of a lower price when it comes Westward sometime in 2018. Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
