This time around, the game is set in Washington D.C., where player selection will have more of an impact in the open-world sequel. It takes place seven months after the “Black Friday” bio attack that started the first game, and civilization is still fighting for survival.

The Washington DC map is 20% bigger than Manhattan from the first Division, and it’ll have various biomes including swamp areas and abandoned residential aprts of the city.

The new character progress system will offer more for players who’ve completed the campaign and reached the level cap with new signature weapons that unlock a new progression tree with special abilities.

Another big addition to The Division 2 are the 8-player raids that will provide more challenges to players. Lastly, Ubisoft announced that The Division 2 will come with a year of DLC episodes that will release every three months, and best of all—they’re free.

The Division 2 releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 15, 2019.
