Return of Double Dragon was a Japan-only expanded release of Super Double Dragon on the SNES, and it’s being released by Retroism for SNES this summer in the form of a limited physical cartridge run. [Thanks, Engadget!]
The game offers several mechanical improvements, changed background music, but more significantly, features two new levels in the Final Mission over Super Double Dragon. It’s currently available for pre-order on Amazon for $49.99, and first-print copies will come with a limited edition red cartridge.
Return of Double Dragon is available on the SNES.
