Valve’s Steam Link app successfully launched for Android devices earlier this month, and was also set to come out for iOS as well, but the app has since been revoked despite being approved earlier, citing ‘business conflicts’ as a reason. [Thanks, Steam Database!]

According to Valve, when the app was submitted to Apple Store on May 7, 2018, it was initially approved for release. Valve then released information on the app on May 9, saying it would come out for both iOS and Android. The next day, Apple revoked the approval, citing ‘business conflicts’ reasons which were apparently overlooked in the initial review.

In the end, despite Valve appealing and explaining the function of Steam Link as a remote desktop, the appeal was denied, leaving Steam Link unable to be released. Valve hopes that Apple will reconsider in the future.
