Bloodstained’s April Kickstarter update was revealed, and it talks about how quests are undertaken, as well as the retro mini-game that was originally one of the stretch goals.
Quests are given from villagers that have managed to survive the emergent castle and the monsters surrounding it. Miriam can take on these sidequests to gain items and more, and in the example mock-up image above, one villager has several quests that entail killing a certain amount of enemies in order to avenge deaths.
Apart from the sidequest system, an update was given on the state of the retro mini-game that was originally pitched as a prequel that takes place 10 years before the main game. The Bloodstained team has changed it so that it’s a spinoff based on Bloodstained rather than a prequel. More details will be revealed very soon.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and PC in 2018.
