A live-action movie based on Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series is in production by a Chinese company, and the first trailer was revealed yesterday. [Thanks, Bahamut!]

The movie is helmed by Hong Kong director Roy Chow Hin Yeung, and produced by China 3D Digital Entertainment Limited. It is currently scheduled for a 2019 release.

The movie teases a bit of Musou action in the trailer, and is explained as the usage of ‘Musou’ energy, a condensation of ‘Pan Gu’ energy in the human body. The ability to use Musou is something certain individuals are born into.

Here’s the trailer below:

The Dynasty Warriors movie will release in 2019.
