Famitsu held a six hour-long livestream of Shining Resonance Refrain this week, and introduced Yuma’s dragon transformation and the Bond Diagram.
By holding L1 and pressing R1 when controlling Yuma, this will activate his Transformation into his dragon form. While his dragon form is very strong and tough, MP is continuously consumed in this state. When his MP is critically low and runs out, Yuma goes berserk and the player loses control of the character. Yuma may even end up attacking allies.
The Bond Diagram is a feature in the game where players can define how the party characters relate to each other. Characters have several different ‘personalities’ to choose from (basically traits that define them), and different personalities can provide support effects in battle depending on the type.
While demoing the game, the Famitsu team end up going through the game, ending with a fight against Jinas the Dragonslayer. It seems that having Jinas or Excella in the party will not affect the main story, as the playable Jinas is able to fight in this battle. However, Jinas’ current outfit will be reflected in the main story.
