Mistwalker founder Hironobu Sakaguchi is best known as the father of Final Fantasy. While he’s distanced himself from the series after leaving Square Enix (then Square) back in 2003, he’s been more involved with guest appearances and such in recent years.
His next involvement with Final Fantasy will be in the form of a 4-part let’s play series by Famitsu, with the aim of completing the classic RPG Final Fantasy VI. The first broadcast will take place on March 1 at 7:00pm JST. Appearing as a guest in the first broadcast will be Square Enix pixel artist Kazuko Shibuya, who worked on the original game alongside Hironobu Sakaguchi who was its producer.
The live stream will be available for viewing over at YouTube and NicoNico Live.
Final Fantasy VI first released in Japan on April 2, 1994 on Super Famicom. It followed with a North American release as Final Fantasy III in October of that year.
