This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine shared a report on Monster Hunter: World’s performance in Japan with an estimate of over 650,000 units sold digitally in its first three days of launch. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

The numbers come from the period of January 1 through January 28. Considering Monster Hunter: World released worldwide on January 26, that’s three days of digital sales. Below is a look at some of the notable digital sales of January:

  • Monster Hunter: World – 652,614
  • Dissidia Final Fantasy NT – 29,487
  • Pokémon Crystal – 14,933

Famitsu previously shared an estimate of 1.35 million units sold via retail in its first three days, so combined that would put the total at about 2,002,614 units sold in three days after its launch on January 26.

Monster Hunter: World is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version launches in Fall 2018.
