Kadokawa Games announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine that Japan folklore-inspoired tactical RPG God Wars: Future Past is headed to PS4, PS Vita, and Switch with an updated version. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
The new version, titled God Wars: Great War of Japanese Mythology will come with sped up battle speed, a help function enhancement, updated number of units you can send out from 6 to 8, raised the limit of level and skill.
As for playable characters, it’ll come with Momotaro and his three companions: dog, monkey, and pheasant. The updated God Wars features a brand-new episode as well as multiple endings. There will also be new music and a new character, Orihime (CV: Yu Serizawa).
Two of the DLC “Hyga’s Future” and “A New Enemy” will be included in the game. As for the new scenario, it is called “Labyrinth of the Erebus” and becomes available after beating the main story. Those who own the original game can also purchase Labyrinth of the Erebus as a separate DLC.
Labyrinth of the Erebus comes with the new playable character Momotaro and the three companions. multiple endings, and balance adjustments. ITs pricing and release date still remains unknown. It is high difficulty and will let you send out up to 8 characters instead of the regular six.
God Wars: Great War of Japanese Mythology will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch.
