Game Informer recently posted an feature interview article conducted with Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata, and he teased a bit about what to expect in the future for the game.

Tabata mentioned that originally, the plan for expanding the game only lasted until the end of this year. They discussed it with the fans in various regions, and they decided to continue carrying on developing new content until the end of next year. One of the biggest goals is to add more to how the story explains itself, and the backstory of Eos, the world Final Fantasy XV takes place in.

He also teased that there will be a ‘completely new gameplay experience’ that is getting into shape, and will be announced at the beginning of 2018. Regarding future DLC, he clarified that the DLC content will be closely linked to the main story instead of something unrelated.

Other interesting facts that emerge from the interview include Tabata noting that the demographic of the fanbase shifted from mainly mid-30s players to mid-20s, which show that they managed to expand the demographic of the series.
