Everyone has heard horror stories of ‘father-meets-boyfriend’ moments, but what if both of them had a common interest? Twitter user @buppa_stone’s daughter brought her boyfriend over for dinner one evening, and it turned out both him and the boyfriend liked… Guilty Gear.

“This kid seems to be challenging me to Guilty Gear, and I will punish him for it. I’m hiding in the toilet at the moment, but I am going to take him on. Also, he proves the theory that Slayer users are brats, I won’t forgive him.”
They decided to see who could win 10 rounds first, and @buppa_stone eventually won 10-6.

However, it turns out that this ‘welcome’ for the boyfriend wasn’t what the rest of the family wanted, and during dinnertime, he found himself without a portion of food for himself.

He eventually was let back in, but still ended up without dinner. While he wasn’t being the best sport, perhaps it also illustrates the fact that having common interests with a future in-law might not be the best thing.
