Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Ships 900,000 Copies, Resident Evil 7 Tops 4.1 Million

Capcom released its first half report of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018, where we got updated numbers on the performance of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and Resident Evil 7: biohazard.

The latest fighter by Capcom, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite has shipped over 900,000 units worldwide since its launch on September 19 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As for Resident Evil 7: biohazard, it has sold 600,000 units to break the 4 million units mark (4.1 million).

We also got a look at the consolidated statements of income, with a results comparison between September 2016 and September 2017:

 

  • Increased revenue and profit year-over-year from favorable sales of new titles and licensing revenue in the Digital Contents business.
  • Foreign exchange gain of Â¥54 million (compared to loss of Â¥1,167 million in the same term of the previous fiscal year.)

 

In the mobile department, Monster Hunter Explore contributed with stable profit. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice and Great Ace Attorney had notable performances as well on iOS and Android.

 

There wasn’t much said about PC games performance, but Capcom notes steadfast performance from Monster Hunter Frontier Z as well as the major Season 3 update for Dragon’s Dogma Online as highlights.

 

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and Resident Evil 7 are both available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
