Now that the Metal Gear Survive website is open and details are coming in, a new bit of information has come to light that may keep some from fully enjoying the game. On the Products page, it notes that “an internet connection is required to play the game.”

This means that people who want to play through Metal Gear Survive’s single-player experience will need to remain connected to the internet to play. If they disconnect, they can’t do anything. Should people want to play online in the co-op mode for up to four players, they will need an internet connection and, if they are on a console, PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold.

Metal Gear Survive will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in North America on February 20, 2018, Japan on February 21, 2018, and Europe on February 22, 2018.
