Last we heard, Dragon Quest XI sold 2,099,203 units between both PlayStation 4 (950,315 units) and Nintendo 3DS (1,148,888 units) versions via retail. This puts Dragon Quest XI ahead of Dragon Quest II’s life-to-date sales of 2.4 million and Dragon Quest V’s 2.8 million. It’ll likely top Dragon Quest VI’s 3.2 million LTD as well as Dragon Quest VIII’s 3,738,123 units in the near future.

Dragon Quest XI released in Japan on July 29, 2017 for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4. The game is headed to Westward in 2018.
