Infliction will have players working through thirteen years of horror, misery, abuse, and death, searching through the items in the house to figure out the events that have occurred here. Otherwise, something intends to come for them in their ignorance.
This first person horror game will allow players to explore a dark, foreboding suburban home. As they do so, they will be able to find items, notes, journals, and other clues that will hint at the home’s dark past, hopefully providing them some idea on how to survive the presence that haunts it now.
Infliction shifts across several time periods over a thirteen year period, steadily having players explore events over each of them. As they do, they will encounter an entity that means to end their lives, but can only be avoided by finding out what drew it here, as well as locate clues on how to get rid of it. Players may have to stomach some sickening artwork and visions, as well as some jarring encounters with the entity, in order to find the information they need, though.
Infliction is due to release in Q1 2018.
