In May 2017, Capcom revealed it was working on Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition. This would be an updated version of the 2010 Street Fighter IV game released on Apple iOS devices. While it had a tentative Summer 2017 release window then, it has an actual release date now. People with iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches can now find the $6.99 app on iTunes.

Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition features a number of updates to the original’s formula. To start, Dudley, Ibuki, and Poison have been added as playable characters, bringing the number of fighters up to 25. There are four difficulty levels and a control scheme that supports MFi controllers in single-player and multiplayer matches. (The menus do not offer controller support.) This release also features higher resolution graphics and wide-screen support. Like the original, it offers an online multiplayer option.
