Platinum Games has been on Twitter since December 2008, but it is now celebrating the launch of a new Twitter account. People can now follow @platinumgames_j for Japanese posts, while English posts will be found on the original @platinumgames. To celebrate the launch, an illustration that showed the heroine as she appeared in both games was posted.
People have noticed something interesting about the tweet, which shows the Bayonetta 2 version of the woman against a blue background above the original iteration against a red background. A user called Big_Moon_UR posted a picture of the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, with the blue above the red to show the connection between the colors there and the Bayonetta image color scheme. Platinum Games’ liked the reply and image, causing the user to share another tweet highlighting the “like.”
Bayonetta 2 appeared on the Nintendo Wii U in 2014 and included a Wii U port of the original Bayonetta until February 2016.
