Atlus will be bringing three JRPGs to the Nintendo 3DS in 2017 and 2018. Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux are all coming to the Americas. Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth will arrive first in Fall 2017. Both Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux have early 2018 release windows.
In Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, players create a whole new party of characters and travel through the Yggdrasil Tree’s labyrinth. If they reach the top, they may have a wish granted. This installment lets you make characters from four different races, change their hair, skin, and eye color, and choose their voices. There are ten classes, with certain classes limited to specific races.
Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is an updated and expanded remake of Radiant Historia, which originally appeared on the Nintendo DS. There is new character art from Masaki Hirooka, more songs from Yoko Shimomura are being added to the soundtrack, and a new character called Nemesia is joining the cast. There are also new story events, as people can go through Standard History, Alternate History, and the new Sub-History.
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux is an updated version of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, which first appeared on the Nintendo DS. Players follow a team sent into a spatial distortion in Antarctica. It is filled with demons and is gradually growing. Players will go through dungeons, experiencing new storylines, an extra dungeon, and perhaps earning new endings.
Etrian Odyssey V originally appeared on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on August 4, 2016. Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology debuts on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on June 29, 2016. Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey has a Fall 2017 release window on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan.
