Square Enix released new information on Dragon Quest XI in this week’s issue of Jump magazine with info on its casino, which features traditional games like the roulette and slots along with a new horse racing game. [Thanks, @Baoliedao.]
When you think horse racing and casino, betting on horses might come to mind at first, but in Dragon Quest XI you’ll actually get to mount your own horse and aim for first place for some sweet prizes.
As shown in the above images, the courses have various obstacles such as ramps and parts you’ll want to avoid as well. You can take on these races as many times as you want for rewards and to challenge the high scores.
And worry not, those of you who’ve easily dropped countless hours in the casino in past Dragon Quest games, the regular Casino games that such as slots, roulette, and poker. As always, there will be some premium items up for grabs with enough tokens, which you can also get in exchange for Gold.
Dragon Quest XI releases in Japan on July 29 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS. The game is also in development for Nintendo Switch. Check out our previous report for info on the game’s smithing system.
