Another Tamsoft beat’em up is leaving Japan. Rising Star Games is bringing Drive Girls, the racing and beat’em up hybrid, to Europe. It will get a digital and physical release on May 26, 2017.

In Drive Girls, mechanical Bugs are invading Sin Island and can only be stopped by five women who can transform into supercars. Lancier, Regalith, Galaxa, Seven, and RR Thirty-Five can use standard attacks in their human forms and race in their car forms to defeat enemies. There are also Over Drive attacks, which deal additional damage to foes.

Since the Drive Girls heroines are also cars, this means maintaining their parts is a critical part of the game. You earn money from missions that can be used on stat-altering decals and parts. The better your parts and builds, the lower the odds of their armor being damaged so badly it will fly off in the middle of a fight.

Drive Girls originally appeared on the PlayStation Vita in Japan on January 26, 2017. A North American release date has yet to be announced.
