Square Enix revealed at PAX East 2017 that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will release with two special editions, the Collector’s Edition for $199.99 and a look at its Limited Steelbook Edition.
First is a look at the Collector’s Edition that is available for $199.99, exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store. It contains the following:
- Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age game
- Exclusive Judge Magisters Mini Bust Set, featuring busts of Judges Bergan, Drace, Gabranth, Ghis, and Zargabaath (Exclusive to Collector’s Edition. Will not be sold separately.)
- Soundtrack featuring music from famed composer Hitoshi Sakimoto
- Steelbook featuring art exclusive art to the Collector’s Edition
- Set of Six Art Cards, featuring Vaan, Ashe, Basch, Fran & Balthier, Penelo and World of Ivalice
- Digital code to unlock the original soundtrack background music option in-game
The above is the Limited Edition that is available for pre-order at select retailers for $49.99. It includes an exclusive steelbook featuring artwork by Akihiko Yoshida as well as a digital code to Final Fantasy XII official soundtrack background music option in-game.
First-print versions of the Standard Edition will also include a limited reversible coversheet featuring artwork by Akihiko Yoshida.
Fans who pre-order the digital version through the PlayStation Store will get a PlayStation 4 static theme (instant reward upon purchase), and four music tracks by Hitoshi Sakimoto (to be unlocked upon release).
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age releases in North America and Europe on July 11, and Japan on July 13, 2017 for PlayStation 4.
