Last year, when Stardew Valley’s PlayStation 4 launch date was announced, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone said on the PlayStation Blog that he was “very, very interested” in a PlayStation Vita version of the farming game. Now, a month later, the possibility of a port has come up again. In a state of Stardew Valley update on the game’s official site, Barone addressed the PlayStation Vita again. His exact quote is, “We are currently investigating the possibility of a PS Vita port.”
In addition, updates on other versions of Stardew Valley were provided. Stardew Valley will not be a Nintendo Switch launch title, but it will come to the system in 2017. A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One patch is planned for next year, addressing an unloadable save file issue and other problems. The Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Russian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese are currently going through private testing and an open beta test for the localizations will appear on Steam in early February 2017. Finally, the cooperative multiplayer feature is still in development.
Stardew Valley is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will come to the Nintendo Switch in 2017.
