Blizzard Entertainment announced on Twitter today, in greeting card fashion, that their multiplayer shooter Overwatch will start its holiday event on December 13, 2016.

As shown in the tweet above, you’re all invited to join in on the holiday event starting December 13. The card reads “It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and we hope you’ll join us for some holiday cheer!”
The holiday event marks the shooter’s third major event following the first one for the Rio 2016 Olympics back in August and the Halloween event in October. If it’s anything like the previous events, there will likely be plenty of character skins and other items to collect through special Loot Boxes.
Blizzard made it possible to purchase the seasonal items with in-game currency for Halloween (which wasn’t an option for the Rio 2016 event) so you might want to save up some Overwatch Credits for the upcoming holiday event that starts this coming Tuesday.
Overwatch is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. We’ll have more details on the holiday event as soon as Blizzard makes them available.
