Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey just released yesterday in Japan, and players have already encountered a bunch of bugs, including some in the first 10 minutes of the game. [Thanks, Hachima.]

Gust is working hard on Patch 1.01 to address some of the major issues with the game, so those of you who’ve run into some of these bugs from imported copies might want to give it a little time.

Some of the major bugs that Patch 1.01 will fix includes one that happens when you run away during a successive battle for a certain quest, another one freezes while passing by Reisenberg in a quest that involves giving Luis a certain item. A PlayStation Vita glitch will have you in the “Now Loading” screen forever when traveling between certain areas, and there’s even one that freezes the game when the effect of the “Artificial Sun” item runs out while fishing in a certain spot.

While a date for the Patch 1.01 hasn’t been announced, Gust suggest players to avoid doing certain actions that may have caused crashes or freezes in the meantime.

The above video gives us a look at just how bad some of the bugs are in Atelier Firis’ starting parts. While this isn’t anything new for Atelier games, some fans in Japan are disgruntled about it, especially considering how the game was delayed to fix such issues.

Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey is available in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game is also headed Westward.
