Not long after Birthdays the Beginning, the new life simulation from Yasuhiro Wada, creator of Bokujou Monogatari and Hometown Story, was announced, NIS America confirmed it would be bringing the PlayStation 4 and PC game to North America and Europe. Now, the first five English screenshots for the game have been released.
In Birthdays the Beginning, you’ll be creating life. You develop a world, which is shaped like a cube, and different animals and plants will end up living on it. Depending on how you terraform and adjust this space, different lifeforms will end up living there. Do well, and you’ll create a self-sustaining and growing ecosystem. The screenshots show how you’ll be able to keep up-to-date on cube status, checking its air temperature, land and water availability, and the number of plants and animals there. You’ll also receive life news about various plants and animals that appear, as well as see how many years have passed in the cube. Aside from an overhead shot, you’ll be able to zoom in to better investigate specific areas of your cube.
Birthdays the Beginning will come Japanese PlayStation 4s on January 19, 2017. It will come to North American and European PlayStation 4s and PCs in early 2017. It will be playable at NIS America’s MCM London Comic-Con booth October 28-30, 2016.
